Actor Jeremy Edwards became the third person to be booted off 'Dancing On Ice' last night.

The 37-year-old former 'Holby City' star found himself in the bottom two alongside rugby star Ellery Hanley last night after the public votes were added to the judges' scores.

But when the pair took to the ice again it was Edwards who was eliminated.

All five judges chose to save Hanley. In justifying their decisions, Jason Gardiner said: "It's sink or swim in the skate-off and it's quite obvious who sunk tonight."

Nicky Slater commented: "I think nerves played a part on one performance here."

After the result was announced, Edwards said: "I have loved every second and despite what the judges thought, my first skate tonight was the most fun I've ever had. It was fantastic and I loved it.

"If you're going to go out to anyone, go out to Ellery. He's such a top bloke and definitely the best man won tonight, so well done to him.

Earlier Edwards and skating partner Darya Nucci skated to George Michael's 'Faith', scoring 16 out of 30.

Jayne Torvill, who trains the celebrities with champion skating partner Christopher Dean, said she would miss Edwards on the show. "We have lots of fun with Jeremy and he does try really hard," she said.

Edwards was voted off despite EastEnders and The Bill star Todd Carty flying out of the rink during his shaky routine to 'Help!' by The Beatles.
