RTÉ Television has announced its programming highlights for the first half of 2009, with 18 new Lifestyle series and 25 new Factual series and documentaries to be broadcast.
Among the new series starting this week are: 'The Lucy Kennedy Show' (RTÉ Two, Tuesday, 10.50pm); 'The Great Escape' (RTÉ One, Tuesday, 10.15pm); 'Five Women Go Back to Work' (RTÉ One, Tuesday, 8.30pm); 'How Long Will You Live?' (RTÉ One, Wednesday, 8.30pm) and 'Operation Transformation' (RTÉ One, Thursday, 8.30pm).
Other highlights for 2009 include the comedy showcase 'Project Ha Ha'; comic Maeve Higgins' 'The Magic Kitchen'; 'Charlie Bird in the Arctic' and 'The Rutland', which looks at the work of the Rutland addiction treatment centre.
In the 'Arts Lives' series there will be programmes devoted to painter Patrick Collins, pianist John O'Conor and poet Seamus Heaney and 'Other Voices' will also return for its seventh series.
