Jennifer Hudson will perform on stage for the first time since the October murders of her mother, brother and nephew when she takes part in a special award show in the US on 6 February.
MTV News reports that the singer will be among the stars at the Recording Academy's MusiCares Person of the Year gala, which will honour Neil Diamond.
The 27-year-old will perform one of Diamond's songs with Coldplay, Adele, Foo Fighters and Josh Groban also set to take part in the show.
Hudson's brother-in-law, William Balfour, was charged with the October murders earlier this month.
