'EastEnders' executive producer Diederick Santer has said that he tried to convince actor Rob Kazinsky to stay on the show.
According to Digital Spy, Santer said that he thought Kazinsky's character Sean Slater could have had more big storylines.
The executive producer said: "I didn't want Rob K to leave, and I did try more than once to make him change his mind."
"His work has got better and better, and Sean's become a very important character for the show."
"But he's his own man and there are things he wants to do so of course he goes with my blessing and support."
