Brad Pitt has come to the defence of partner Angelina Jolie following an article about the actress which labelled her "manipulative".
The New York Times published a report on the star last month, detailing how she is able to control of the press without the help of a publicist.
The article also claimed that she has cultivated relationships with a number of hand-picked reporters and even set up her own photo shoots for the paparazzi.
However her partner Brad Pitt has vehemently denied the claims.
Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine he said: "It sounded to me like the story made Angie out to be manipulative in some way. She is savvy.
"I get defensive. (They're) talking about not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think she's as honourable as anyone I've ever met."
