It has been reported that T.R. Knight , who plays George O’Malley in 'Grey’s Anatomy', has asked to be written out of the series.
People.com is reporting that a source close to the programme has said that it seems likely that his request will be granted and he will be released from his contract.
It has been reported that the actor who has been in the hit medical series since it began has not been attending 'table reads' for upcoming episodes. His representative told People "He has been there every day. He was at a table read yesterday. He hasn’t said goodbye to anyone." The representative did not respond to claims that the actor had requested to be written out of the series.
Knight has not been involved in any major storylines in current series of Grey’s Anatomy which is showing in the US. The series will be shown on RTÉ Two next year.
