Singer Simon Webbe has become the eighth person to be voted off 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'.

Webbe, 30, who found fame with the boyband Blue, had become emotional after watching a video greeting from his girlfriend, former X Factor contestant Layla Manoochehri.

He said he felt "relief" at leaving the jungle.

Talking to presenters Ant and Dec after his eviction, he said: "Ever since I was in there I didn't think I'd last this long. I really enjoyed it...but it wasn't what I expected.

"I didn't think I'd snap as much as I did. I'm normally a cool character, I know how to keep my temper in check, but I felt my buttons were being pushed."

He confessed before going on the show that he was "afraid of everything" and was going into the jungle to face his fears. But after his eviction he said he was still "terrified of spiders" and had not conquered his fear of water.

"The trials were harder than I thought they would be," he said. "The camp's a lot smaller than it looks on TV. You're living on top of each other and that's a pressure cooker in itself."

He backed Wimbledon ace Martina Navratilova or former EastEnders actor Joe Swash to win the show.

But he also described ex-Dollar singer David Van Day as "a nice guy underneath it all", although he was "here to play the game. I've always said this is reality TV and I thought it was about being real to yourself," he said.

Meanwhile page three girl Nicola McLean continued to make waves in the camp despite her eviction earlier this week.

The glamour model's disputes with Van Day lasted until the bitter end, with McLean blanking the singer when he tried to give her a goodbye hug.

Feeling the snub, he retaliated with a vicious impersonation of his departed camp mate which involved him stuffing two rolls of toilet roll under his top.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he said in a high-pitched voice: "Hello I'm back, I'm the new eye candy on the show. That David Van Day, I hate him, he's horrible, look at me, vote for me, it shouldn't have been me, it should have been him."

Back in the luxury of her hotel, McLean remained unchanged in her opinion of Van Day: "He's out for himself and to revive Dollar, He's an unattractive man on all levels. He made me feel violently sick. He cannot win this show."
