'Transformer's' star Shia LaBeouf is set to play the title role in the film adaptation of John Grisham's upcoming legal thriller 'The Associate'.
According to Variety LaBeouf will play a Yale Law School student, who is offered a job at a prestigious law firm and then receives privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit.
The novel, which is Grisham's first legal thriller since 2005's 'The Broker', will be published in January.
The film will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura who has previously worked with LaBeouf on 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'.
