Kanye West has revealed that he is good friends with U2 frontman Bono.
According to Contactmusic.com the rapper bonded with Bono after he played support to U2 on part of their 2006 tour.
Speaking about their friendship West said: "Bono took me under his wing and he believed in me."
He added: "When I made my protest over not getting an award at the MTV Awards a couple of years ago, and nobody wanted to hear anything from me afterwards, Bono and U2 stood by me."
