'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell has appeared on a US television show with his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour.
During the interview on 'Extra', Cowell claimed that Seymour, who was sitting next to him, broke up with him by sending him a text message.
When questioned about why the couple had split, Cowell said: "Because Terri decided to dump me. You sent me a text."
Seymour then said: "I didn't dump you. It was just time. We had a great six years, and we're the best of friends."
Cowell said that the pair still speak on the phone every day.
"I do call Terri, first, when I've got an issue or I'm moaning about something, or I want to bounce an idea off her," he said.
