The contestants on the upcoming 'I'm A Celebrity.....' have reportedly clashed over money, while George Takei - Mr Sulu - has branded it a "shambles" over bad logistics.

According to the Daily Telegraph, former glamour model Nicola McClean is enraged that 40-year-old Dani Behr is getting paid £40,000 compared to her £7,500 wage.

WAG Carly Zucker, fiance of Chelsea footballer Joe Cole, is earning £10,000 and reportedly sided with McClean. She was allegedly mollified only when producers pointed out that she could make more money through magazine deals.

Aside from Behr, other older celebrities are also getting paid more with Martina Navratilova, 52, earning £30,000 and Esther Rantzen, 68, on £25,000. George Takei, 71, who played Mr Sulu in Star Trek, is on £20,000 while ex-talk show host and politician Robert Kilroy-Silk’s contract is worth £15,000.

Contestants are thought to be earning less than half the usual rates of previous years due to low advertising revenue.

Takei, meanwhile, has branded 'I'm A Celebrity a "shambles" after a logistical cock-up.

The actor, who admitted he was not familiar with the show, told the Telegraph: "I've no idea what I'm getting into, but now it seems it is a complete shambles. I've been left wandering the airport for 30 minutes on my own.

"They didn't give me any phone numbers or contacts, but I was assured there would be someone to meet me here. I can't believe I've been treated like this."
