Jaden Smith, the son of 'I Am Legend' star Will Smith, is to play the lead role in the remake of 'The Karate Kid'.
Variety reports that Will Smith will produce the film, which will be shot in Beijing next year.
The plot will once again focus on a bullied boy who is helped by an older mentor.
Jaden Smith, whose film credits include 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' and 'The Pursuit of Happyness' [sic], is already a martial arts practitioner.
