Company Director Mark O’Rourke became the latest contestant to be fired on 'The Apprentice' last night.
The 26-year-old from Dublin was fired by Bill Cullen after his team failed a car marketing and selling task. Project manager auctioneer Nicky O’Callaghan brought O’Rourke and fellow-team member Joanna Murphy in to the boardroom.
O’Rourke practically fired himself when he told Cullen that he felt he was not living up to his own expectations and admitted he had not performed on the task. An obvious early favourite of Cullen’s who had survived previous trips to the boardroom, Cullen said O’Rourke had let him down and he fired him.
Cullen said he was impressed by Murphy but warned her that she needed to stop provoking confrontation while he told O’Callaghan that she had not displayed leadership qualities.
