'Rising Damp' star Don Warrington has become the latest contestant to be voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Warrington and professional dance partner Lilia Kopylova were placed in the bottom two along with singer Heather Small and her partner Brian Fortuna after the public vote.

In the dance-off Small and Fortuna danced the Salsa while Warrington and Kopylova danced the American Smooth.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli all voted to keep Small and Fortuna on the show, while head judge Len Goodman said he would have saved Warrington and Kopylova.

Goodman said: "I would have voted for Don and Lilia. Heather did perform better, but I thought Don and Lilia gave a more polished and cleaner performance."

Commenting, Warrington said: "I am sad, Lilia is wonderful. I'm more sad that I won't be able to dance with her any more."

Kopylova replied: "Don is great, I know how much he enjoyed this and he's tried so hard."

On Saturday the couples will perform the Viennese Waltz and the Paso Doble.
