Singer Katy Perry has spoken about how "drinking became a problem" for her.
The star, whose single 'I Kissed A Girl' became a hit, told Blender: "It was really difficult, drinking became a problem."
"It got out of control until I said, 'OK - back to work'. I know I'm speaking for someone, even if it is someone silly."
Perry was recently announced as the host of the MTV Europe Awards, which will take place on 6 November.
