'Emmerdale' is set for gripping scenes next week when Andy's violence towards his wife Jo causes her to retaliate.
According to the show's official website, Jo decides to leave Andy and packs her bags but when he finds out Andy flies into a "furious rage".
The website says: "Fearing for her life, Jo hides in the barn. But when Andy goes to find her, he slips and impales himself on a spike."
When he begs Jo for help she runs to his assistance but Andy lashes out at her as she is trying to free him, causing her to run way.
Jo then vows that it will be the last time that Andy raises a hand to her, leaving him in the barn to bleed to death.
Actress Roxanne Pallett, who plays Jo in the soap, recently announced that she is planning to take a break from 'Emmerdale'.
