'Hunger' is the feature directing debut of Turner Prize-winning artist Steve McQueen and stars German-born and Kerry-raised actor Michael Fassbender in the lead role.
The film has won the Camera d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival, the Sydney Film Prize at the Sydney Film Festival, the Fipresci International Critics Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Discovery Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
'Hunger', which was supported financially by the Northern Ireland Film Board and by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland, is due for release on 31 October.
