Prosecutors in the US have said that 'Indiana Jones' star Shia LaBeouf will not face charges following a car crash and his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.

Reuters reports that Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, said: "We are not filing charges due to insufficient evidence against actor Shia LaBeouf."

Police said that the other driver involved in the crash had broken a red light, hitting the vehicle which LaBeouf was driving.

The actor's new film, 'Eagle Eye', opens in Irish cinemas on Friday 17 October.
