Gwyneth Paltrow wowed Milan with a bright orange dress yesterday, but she was in vibrant form despite widespread criticism of her new lifestyle website.
The actress, who is married to Chris Martin of Coldplay, visited Tod’s concept store with designer Diego Dello Valle in Milan and won the approval of fashionistas for her bold style choice.
But Paltrow's new website www.goop.com, which was launched in preview form yesterday with little in the way of content and reported technical glitches, has not been well received.
The opening page of 'Goop' tells users to 'nourish the inner aspect' before offering them the option to click on icons subtitled 'make', 'go', 'get', 'do', 'be' and 'see'.

Clicking on any of the options then leads into the same three paragraph lifestyle 'statement of intent' by Paltrow.
Commenting on the lifestyle statement, the Canadian Globeandmail remarked that: "It seems almost like a parody of something written by a wealthy, award-winning actress born into a famous family and married to a multimillion-selling recording artist."
On the design front, the LA Times’ web-scout commented: "It's not clear why she bothered to put it up with so little content on it. It feels like something that won an award for Web design in 1998."
