'Strictly Come Dancing's Don Warrington has said he was really surprised to be saved by the judges on Sunday night.

The 'Rising Damp' actor competed against former 'Eastenders' star Phil Daniels in the dance-off after they were voted into the bottom two.

Craig Revel Horwood and Arlene Phillips voted to save Phil and his partner Flavia Cacace while Bruno Tonioli and head judge Len Goodman backed Warrington and partner Lilia Kopylova. As Goodman is head judge he has the deciding vote.

Warrington made his comments on the 'Strictly' spinoff show 'It Takes Two' where he told presenter Claudia Winkleman: "I thought that was it. I accepted that and I thought: 'OK, OK, I tried but that's it'. Then suddenly out of the blue came Len."

This Saturday it is the turn of the female celebrity to take to the floor.
