Author Candace Bushnell has signed a deal for two new books starring her most famous 'Sex and the City' character, Carrie Bradshaw.
Reuters reports that Bushnell will write 'The Carrie Diaries', which will chronicle the character's high school years and will be aimed at the teenage market.
Publishers Harper Collins said the books would look at Bradshaw's romances, friendships and how she became a writer.
In a statement, Bushnell said: "Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd - she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene."
The first book will be published in the autumn of 2010.
Bushnell's latest book, 'One Fifth Avenue', will be published shortly.
