RTÉ productions have been nominated for nine Prix Europa 2008 awards.
The two-part factually based drama 'Whistleblower', produced by Saffron Productions for RTÉ, is nominated in the TV Fiction category.
'Being John Banville' is nominated in the TV Documentary category, 'Human Traffic' in the TV IRIS Multicultural Programmes category and 'Prime Time Investigates - Cocaine' in the Current Affairs category.
There are two RTÉ nominations in the Radio Fiction category for 'Just Cause' and 'Know Your Station'.
In the Radio Documentary category 'No Cure for Mickey Finn' and 'Piano: Variations and Sliding Scales' are both nominated.
The final nomination is in the Emerging Media category for RTÉ Young Peoples' online programme 'WE tv Online'.
The awards ceremony will take place in Berlin and Potsdam from 18 to 25 October 2008.
