Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has wished former 'Big Brother' star Jade Goody well following her recent cancer diagnosis.
During their time together in 'Celebrity Big Brother' Goody was accused of bullying the actress but the pair have since put their differences behind them.
Speaking to 'GMTV', Shetty said: "I'd like to say on behalf of the people of India that we wish her well and our prayers are with her.
"It's so sad for someone so young to be diagnosed with such a dreadful illness - it's horrible."
Goody was appearing on the Indian version of 'Big Brother', presented by Shetty, when she received the news that she has cervical cancer.
According to The Mirror, Shetty said: "I spoke with her. It was a private conversation, but we've exchanged numbers and we've put all our previous troubles in the past so I'd wish only the best for her.
"I thought about her family and when I spoke to her she said: 'You know, I'm really worried for my children, I've been through a lot in my life but this is the worst'. It was so sad."
Shetty also said: "You wouldn't wish this on your enemy. And Jade isn't my enemy. I felt very helpless."
