Singer John Mayer has spoken about his split from actress Jennifer Aniston, saying that there was "no lying" and "no cheating".
According to People magazine, Mayer spoke about the break-up when confronted by reporters after leaving a gym on Saturday.
The singer said: "There's no lying, there's no cheating, there's no nothing."
Speaking about his ex-girlfriend, he said: "Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met.
"People are different, people have different chemistry. I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."
Sources from both sides earlier confirmed that the couple mutually decided to split.
