Dublin singer Christine Tobin has won one of the most prestigious prizes at the BBC Jazz Awards in London.
Tobin, from Walkinstown, won the Best Vocalist 2008 Award at the ceremony at London's Mermaid Theatre.
Living in London since 1987, Tobin has been described by the Guardian as "the Bjork of Euro Jazz".
She released her new album, 'Secret Life of a Girl', this year.
