Australian actress Emily Symons is set to take a break from her role in 'Emmerdale' this autumn.
According to the show's official website, the actress, who plays Louise Appleton, is returning home to Australia "for family reasons".
'Emmerdale' bosses have confirmed that the actress will return to the show at a later date.
A show source also dismissed speculation that actor Matthew Bose, who plays Paul Lambert, was planning to leave the show.
An 'Emmerdale' spokesperson said: "Mathew is currently contracted to the end of the year and contract discussions for 2009 are still ongoing."
