It has been announced that Britney Spears will spend the summer working on her new album.
Billboard reports that a statement released on behalf of the singer said she would be "spending her summer in the recording studio".
It added that Spears was working with a "team of top-notch producers and songwriters".
The statement contained no release date for the album, the follow-up to 2007's 'Blackout'.
