Ian McKellen and American actor Jim Caviezel are to star in ITV's remake of the classic 1960s television series 'The Prisoner'.
Caviezel will play Number Six, a man trapped in a mysterious place called The Village, while McKellen will play his charismatic nemesis, Number Two.
Commenting on the new series, McKellen said: "It is witty, intelligent and disturbing. I am very excited to be involved."
The six-part series is to premiere in 2009.
