Patrick Bergin, John Banville and Alan Gilsenan are to participate in 'Summer's Wreath 08' at the National Library of Ireland.

'Summer's Wreath 08' runs until 28 June and is a two-week programme of events focussed on the life and work of WB Yeats, held in conjunction with the award-winning exhibition 'Yeats: The Life and Works of William Butler Yeats' at the Library.

Events include a one-day immersion course for lovers of poetry on Thursday, 26 June and family activities including tours, trails and stories for children.

Also planned is a panel discussion between the English poet Ian Duhig, described in the Guardian as "the most original poet of his generation", the American poet and critic Carrie Etter and the Irish poet Matthew Sweeney, whose most recent poetry collection 'Black Moon' was shortlisted for the 2007 TS Eliot Prize.

That discussion will be hosted by Vincent Woods, presenter of RTÉ’s 'The Arts Show', and will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 (Tuesday, 24 June at 8pm).
