An early, alternative script for the fourth Indiana Jones movie, written by director Frank Darabont, appears to have been leaked on the Internet.
'Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods' is purported to have been written by 'The Shawshank Redemption' director, who spent a year on the project in 2002 before being dropped, allegedly after George Lucas failed to approve the script.
The alleged script, said to be Darabont's final draft, appeared on several websites late last week and is still available online despite threats of legal action from Paramount Pictures.
Much of the plot of the leaked script is similar to 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', which was eventually written by David Koepp.
The leaked version features Area 51, a nuclear explosion and a trip to a lost city.
However, Shia LaBeouf's character is not present and Indiana Jones' father makes a brief appearance.
There are also a host of references to other films in the franchise.
