The runner up on this year's series of 'American Idol' has signed a record deal.
Billboard reports that David Archuleta has inked a contract with 19 Recordings/Jive.
The trade daily says the 17-year-old's debut album could be out this autumn or winter.
Archuleta begins the 'American Idols Live' tour on 1 July; it continues until 13 September and also features winner David Cook and fellow contestants Brook White, Sayesha Mercado and Jason Castro.
