Former 'Coronation Street' star Matthew Marsden has joined the cast of the blockbuster sequel 'Transformers 2'.
MTV reports that Marsden will play a member of an elite British Army team which battles the Decepticons with their US counterparts.
'Transformers 2' also stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson.
The film began shooting yesterday in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and will reach cinemas in June 2009.
