Oasis drummer Zak Starkey has reportedly parted company with the band following an alleged dispute with singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher.

The Sun reports that Starkey, son of Beatles legend Ringo, is highly unlikely to perform with the Manchester band on any of their forthcoming live dates.

His involvement in their forthcoming new album, which has been recently completed, will also be his last with the band.

The newspaper quotes a source close to the band as saying: "There have been arguments with Noel Gallagher and general disagreements." Oasis have made no official announcement regarding Starkey.

Starkey is Oasis' third drummer and joined the band as an unofficial member in 2004 following Alan White's departure.

He was invited to officially join the band in 2006 but that couldn't materialise until he finished commitments with The Who, whom he also drummed with.

Oasis are due to embark on a US tour in August, and are rumoured to be announcing further live plans soon.
