'The Apprentice' star Kevin Shaw has said that he deserved to be fired on the most recent episode of the show.
Twenty-four-year-old Shaw was shown the door after his team came second in the challenge to sell greeting cards.
The bank manager was project manager of the team, which chose an environmental theme for its cards.
Retailers were unimpressed, and so was boss Alan Sugar.
Shaw said of his firing: "I wanted to go into the boardroom on my own... I was the right one to go."
He continued: "If you're running a company, when the business goes under so does the manager for the company. My team lost so surely I must take responsibility for the task."
Shaw said of the greeting cards challenge: "The whole task was a disaster... The idea and the pitches were awful."
