Model and television star Melinda Messenger and her husband Wayne Roberts have spoken about their trial separation in a joint magazine interview.
The pair took part in a photo shoot for Hello! magazine together and spoke about the reasons for their trial separation after nine years of marriage.
Messenger said: "We need this time apart to be able to see clearly what we have in our relationship, and to see why we are together. It's confusing and difficult but it's necessary."
The model also stressed: "There is no one else on either side."
Her husband Roberts said: "As far as I'm concerned I'm a married man. I couldn't begin to think about being with anyone else."
The couple have three children together; eight-year-old Morgan, six-year-old Flynn and four-year-old Evie.
