Geri Halliwell has announced that she has no plans to continue to pursue a solo singing career and will instead focus on writing children's books.
The former Spice Girl will publish her debut children's book 'Ugenia Lavender' this Friday (2 May) and says she wants to focus on being an author rather than record any more songs.
Digitalspy.co.uk reports that Halliwell has said: "I feel like I've hung up my hotpants now. I'll always try and be honest about myself. I've finished as a solo artist. Right now I just feel really comfortable writing books."
The star added that the Spice Girls' recent reunion tour helped her to cement her friendships with her former bandmates, after she initially walked out on the group a decade ago.
She said: "I feel we are just like a family. We clicked again straight away - it's just like a family travelling in a bubble.
"I really enjoy our relationships, but I always wish I had left the group under better circumstances, rather than just walking out. But that's exactly why I wanted to do it again."
