A former star of 'Shameless' is joining 'EastEnders' - as Phil Mitchell's new love interest.
The BBC reports that Maggie O'Neill, who played Sheila in 'Shameless', will arrive in Albert Square in July as Suzy Branning, Jack (Scott Maslen) and Max's (Jake Wood) sister.
Suzy is described as "glamorous and independent" and it's not long before temperatures rise between herself and Phil (Steve McFadden).
Commenting on the role, O'Neill said: "The Brannings are a great family and I'm excited to become one of them. Suzy is a woman to be reckoned with."
O'Neill also starred in 'Peak Practice' and 'Mansfield Park'.
