'Coronation Street' actress Maggie Jones is recovering in hospital after injuring herself in a fall.
The 73-year-old star, who plays Blanche Hunt in the show, reportedly hurt her shoulder and knee when she fell at the Marriott Manchester Victoria & Albert Hotel, where she lives when she is filming.
Jones reportedly limped from the hotel to Granada studios, where the soap is filmed, to see medical staff.
She was then sent to the accident and emergency department of a nearby hospital because her injuries were more serious than initially thought.
She is now recovering in a private hospital and is expected to be back at work in around two weeks.
A spokesperson for the soap said: "The cast and crew of 'Coronation Street' wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her soon. She is loved by everyone."
