Former The OC actress Mischa Barton has been sentenced to three years unsupervised probation after pleading no contest to drink-driving charges.
The young actress, who has relations in Sligo, was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and driving without a licence last February, following an arrest in Hollywood in December.
Barton accepted a plea deal by admitting the DUI offence. The prosecutors then in return dropped the marijuana charge and reduced the driving without a licence charge to an infraction.
The 22-year-old star was then yesterday sentenced to three years unsupervised probation and ruled she must complete a three-month alcohol-education class. She was also fined.
