'Hollywood Trials', a new series which follows ten aspiring Irish actors as they bid to break into the world's most prestigious film industry, begins on RTÉ Two tomorrow night (10 April) at 9.35pm.
The first programme of the six-part series begins in Dublin with a gruelling three day selection process as hundreds of applications are whittled down to 30 actors, who are then invited to audition for the ten places available.
Amongst those competing for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity are former Boyzone star Michael Graham; 'Dan & Becs' star Holly White; Ex-Glenroe actor Joe McKinney and Fair City's George McMahon.
The lucky ten were then groomed for success by some of the top people in Hollywood while studying with world-renowned acting coach Margie Haber.
Haber's previous pupils include Halle Berry, Vince Vaughn, Kristin Davis and Heather Locklear, while she also worked with Brad Pitt on the audition that got him his breakthrough part in 'Thelma and Louise'.
The ten actors were also given unique access to some of the most powerful movie industry players in Hollywood, including Vince Cirricone (Halle Berry's manager), Daniel Attius (writer/director on 'The Sopranos', 'Heroes'), Marcia Ross (Head of Casting, Disney), Paul Feig (director, 'The Office' US) and Michael Lazio, a top agent with Paradigm, the biggest agency in the world.
The series begins on Thursday 10 April at 9.35pm. Click here for the 'Hollywood Trials' website.
