Ahead of the launch of her new show, Lucy Kennedy chatted to the RTÉ Guide about living with celebrities and being chased by the paparazzi.
After escaping from Podge and Rodge's Ballydung Manor, Kennedy has begun filming for her new show 'Livin' with Lucy', in which she moves into the homes of various celebrities for three days.
Speaking about the show, she said: "It pretty much does what it says on the tin. I move in with celebrities for two nights and three days to see how the other half lives."
"Are they like us? What’s it like being rich and famous? What it like to have paparazzi following you? What do they eat for breakfast?"
Among those who agreed to share their home with Lucy for the show was singer Samantha Mumba.
Speaking about the pop star, Kennedy said: "To be honest, I had heard mixed rumours about Samantha. I was expecting a real diva, but I met and lived with a real girl-next-door. We were instant friends."
"I think she’s been badly presented in the press and past documentaries, people haven’t really got to see what a great sense of humour she has."
Kennedy also moved in with former 'Big Brother' star Jade Goody for a couple of days.
Speaking about this experience, she said: "I’m not going to lie; I was scared out of my wits on the flight over because I saw her let loose on Shilpa Shetty on 'Big Brother' last year."
"I thought if that’s going to happen to me I'll cry my eyes out on the telly. But I was greeted by a very, very different girl. She was much more much relaxed and down to earth than I expected."
Speaking about being chased by paparazzi while with Goody, she said: "It was so scary and I'm so thankful we don't have that culture over here."
