Former showband member Brendan O'Brien has been found dead at his home in Blackpool in Cork.
He is thought to have suffered a heart attack. He was 67.
He was the lead singer with the well known showband The Dixies.
On 11 January this year on 'The Late Late Show' showband special, Brendan O'Brien sang with his bandmate Joe Mac their best known hit 'Little Arrows'.
