The winners of the Irish Times Theatre Awards were announced at a ceremony in Dublin last night.
Nick Dunning was named Best Actor for his performance in Don Carlos.
The Rough Magic production was also named Best Production and its lighting designer, Sinéad Wallace, won the Best Designer: Lighting award for her work on the play and the Abbey Theatre production of 'Saved'.
Eileen Walsh was named Best Actress for her performance in the Abbey Theatre production of Mark O'Rowe's 'Terminus'.
Rory Keenan was named Best Supporting Actor for his performance in 'The Last Days of the Celtic Tiger' while 'Saved' star Eleanor Methven was named Best Supporting Actress.
The Best Director award went to 'Saved's director, Jimmy Fay.
Seán McLoughlin was honoured with the Best New Play award for 'Noah and the Tower Flower'.
The Gate Theatre received the Best Opera Production award for 'Sweeney Todd'.
A special tribute award was presented to Rosaleen Lenihan for her contribution to Irish theatre while the judges' special award went to Bairbre Ní Chaoimh for "aligning contemporary Irish theatre with a passionate commitment to human rights".
The Best Designer: Costume award went to Caroline Bronwen Hughes for her work on 'Othello'.
Paul Keogan won the Best Designer: Set award for his work on 'Dead Man Walking'.
