Irish Film & Television Awards nominee Kathryn Thomas has denied there is a rivalry between herself and TV3's Lorraine Keane.
In an interview in the new RTÉ Guide, TV Personality of the Year nominee Thomas responds to media reports which have pitted her against Xposé anchor Lorraine Keane who is also nominated in the same IFTAs category.
The No Frontiers presenter says: 'They are obviously going to pitch the female presenters against each other and create this rivalry.
'There is no sense of rivalry between us, but there is a healthy competition because she wants to win as much as I do!'
The star also reveals she is nervous in the run-up to the big night.
She says: 'It's not just about me; there are so many people who deserve to get this; the people who have worked with me over the years. So yes, I am nervous. I would be lying if I said I wasn't.'
To find out what Thomas will be wearing on the night, and whether the Master of Ceremonies himself, Ryan Tubridy, will be bringing a date, see this week’s RTÉ Guide, which this week comes with a free Style Magazine. Full details here.
