Madonna, the 49-year-old pop legend, leads Forbes.com's list of the Top 20 'Cash Queens of Music'.
The pop star earned $72m between June 2006 and June 2007, her 'Confessions' world tour alone pulled in a gross figure of $260m, Forbes said.
She also made money from album sales, her fashion line with H&M and a deal with NBC to broadcast her concert performance at London's Wembley Stadium.
Barbra Streisand is Number Two on the list with $60m, thanks to her comeback tour of North America and Europe.
Celine Dion ranks third with $45m, largely from her successful 'A New Day' show in Las Vegas, which she finished in December after a five-year run at Caesar's Palace.
Shakira is fourth with $38m, followed by Beyoncé ($27m), Gwen Stefani ($26m), Christina Aguilera ($20m), Faith Hill ($19m), the Dixie Chicks ($18m) and Mariah Carey ($13m).
Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne and Martina McBride each banked $12m.
Britney Spears is 14th on the list, earning $8m from music royalties and sales of her fragrances with Elizabeth Arden.
Spears is followed by Carrie Underwood and Nelly Furtado ($7m each), Fergie, Jennifer Lopez and Sheryl Crow ($6m each), and Norah Jones ($5.5m).
