Former 'Coronation Street' star Tina O'Brien has revealed that she would like to take on a role in a "meaty drama".

The actress, who starred in the pantomime 'Cinderella' after leaving the soap, told the Mirror recently that she is eager to take on a new project.

She said: "There are no definite projects confirmed yet, but there are jobs I'm up for - which I can't talk about at the moment - that are very exciting."

"I'd love to do a real meaty drama or anything that's different to what I've been doing for the past eight years. Maybe I can do some more theatre after panto. Who knows?

"The door has been left open for me to return to 'Coronation Street' in the future and I certainly wouldn't want to burn my bridges and say I'll never go back.

"But I've only just left and it'd be a bit crazy if I was already begging to get my old job back."
