Former 'X Factor' presenter Kate Thornton is four months pregnant with her first child.
Her agent today confirmed a report in The Sun that the 34-year-old and her fiancée, DJ and record producer Darren Emerson, are expecting their new arrival in May.
Last week Thornton was seen having a scan at a hospital in South London. An onlooker told The Sun: "Kate was beaming from ear to ear. But funnily enough, when an 'X Factor' trailer came on the TV in the hospital waiting room, she turned her head away.”
A source said: “Kate and Darren are deliriously happy. Kate is due in early summer, so she can fit in a lot of work before then.”
The presenter, who was axed from 'The X Factor' in March, is to front ITV's 'Britain Sings Christmas' later this month. The show will feature a choir of celebrities performing seasonal classics.
Thornton will also host Sky’s coverage of the Oscars in March.
