'The Simple Life' star Nicole Richie has spoken about her pregnancy, saying that it has brought her closer to her parents.
Speaking to 'Access Hollywood', she said: "When I found out that I was pregnant there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot."
Referring to her father Lionel Richie, she said: "[The baby] is all he talks about, actually."
Despite reports that her father had already confirmed the sex of the baby as a boy, the television star said that her boyfriend Joel Madden didn't want to know whether the baby is a boy or a girl.
Richie said: "I like to know everything. If he wasn't at every doctor's appointment, I probably would have found out by now just behind his back and not told him."
