'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' star Rodney Marsh has been rushed to hospital after injuring his leg when he took a fall in the jungle.

The 63-year-old football pundit was collecting wood with television star Anna Ryder Richardson when he slipped on a hill.

Anna helped Rodney up before returning to camp to enlist the help of some of the other celebrities.

Model Janice Dickinson and former 'EastEnders' star Marc Bannerman rushed to help Rodney.

The former footballer then said: "I'm not going on a stretcher. I've got people watching in England."

"As a footballer you know when you've been injured and it's my knee. It's definitely gone."

An ITV spokesperson said: : "Rodney strained a ligament whilst collecting wood earlier this evening. He was attended to by medics on site and sent to hospital as a precautionary measure."

"They discharged him immediately and he is recuperating overnight under lock down conditions at a secure location. He will be reassessed in the morning as to when he can rejoin the camp."

Meanwhile, chef John Burton Race is beginning to annoy his fellow campmates by getting up at 4am and waking them by making noise in the campsite.

Janice said: "I was married to a mad Englishman and I know what they're like. He just wants too much attention. He's gonna have a nervous breakdown. He's wound up so tightly poor thing."

Yesterday Janice and former 5ive star J Brown earned 10 meals for camp when they completed the high-wire bicycle trial Uneasy Rider.

Anna, John and Rodney are now immune from the first eviction vote after winning their challenges.

Janice and PR guru Lynne Franks will face the next Bushtucker Trial Jungle Sweet Shop.
