Marc Bannerman was last seen on TV playing 'EastEnders' Gianni di Marco until his role was axed in 2000. He recently appeared in panto.
Other names in the frame are Jason 'J' Brown from defunct boyband Five, TV chef John Burton Race, singer Cerys Matthews and Chris Tarrant's estranged wife Ingrid.
The show starts on ITV on Monday.
